The matching black satin saya seats almost seamlessly to the handle lending the appearance that the sword is a single piece of wood. The 38 7/8th inch blade is fully hand forged and tempered 1060 high carbon spring steel. The doubled edged blade is sharpened with a full length fuller (Bo-hi) going right down the center of the blade.. This Katana is well suited for tamashigiri and other forms of
