There are two basic types of straight bladed swords used in China. After studying books and video tapes on the history and use of both weapons, Cold Steel has decided to make their own battle worthy Gim (Wu Jian) for serious collectors and practitioners of Chinese Martial Arts. The blade of our Wu Jian is made out of 1050 Spring Steel and measures 30" long by 1 1/4" wide. The traditionally styled guard and pommel are cast out of thick sturdy brass and fit snugly on a stout Rosewood handle that is both highly decorative as well as functional. 37 1/4" overall
